| Fraunhofer Network for Transparent Scratch Protection

The Fraunhofer Network develops new concepts for transparent scratch protection in combination with properties like anti-reflection, easy-to-clean, corrosion protection etc. on glass, plastics and metals.
Members of the network: The Fraunhofer Institutes for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST, for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP, for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF, for Material and Beam Technology IWS, for Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Materials Research IFAM and for Silicate Research ISC.
Competences: Plasma technology (PVD, plasma CVD, atmospheric pressure), sol-gel technology, vapor deposition processes, electron beam technology, coating and process development, generation of nano particles, plastic coating, steel tape coating, building component coating, analytics.
