Following the last five successful ICCGs, this year´s conference will be held on June 18 - 22. The ICCG International Organizing Committee and the local organizer, the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology [FEP] feel delighted to welcome you to the 6^th ICCG in Dresden/Germany.

This conference will be an opportunity to come together as scientists, technologists and managers from universities, research institutes, coating manufacturers, materials and equipment suppliers as well as from the user industries to discuss the latest developments in the field of large area glass and plastic coating.

The exchange of information and knowledge, bringing together new business partners and the announcement of technical innovations on the market are declared targets we set for our conference.

The application of coatings is an area which has become extremely important for large-area or high-volume products. Besides glass, plastics has become more and more important as substrates for optical applications. Due to this fact, the conference will turn its attention to advanced coatings on both, glass and plastics in multidisciplinary fields. Therefore the name of the conference was changed to »International Conference on Coatings on Glass and Plastics« keeping the same abbreviation »ICCG«.

The conference structure accords with the last conferences in most parts. Prior to the conference, on Sunday we arranged two Short Courses for you which will be held in two parallel sessions. Given by experts in the field, these educational lectures provide fundamental and technological background in specific conference topics.

On Monday there will be an Introductory Session providing the attendees with market and business relevant information about technical requirements. The following Technical Sessions from Monday to Thursday will illuminate an extensive field from new markets and trends over different technologies for product designs as well as technical aspects, safety measures and environmental and economic factors. More highlights on the conference are the Panel Discussion »Talk in the Theater«, the Poster Session and the Industrial Exhibition, where 38 exhibitors will give you an outlook on new products and services on the market.

Furthermore the specialty of our venue, the beautiful and largely famous city Dresden in the center of Saxony, as well as the expected fine weather will make the conference enjoyable and valuable for all participants.
